cd containing only file ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso does not work

Somebody can tell me what is wrong about it?

After download of ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso
and burn to cd, it was not possible to boot with such cd
BIOS setup is OK for priority of booting devices

You would need a cd burning software that allows you to burn iso-images. You don't want a cd with the file *.iso on it but a cd with the contents of that file.

For older versions of win, you will need a cd burning software, for example from here: http://www.imgburn.com/
