Ubuntu 11.04 re-install with 11.10
Hi all!
I had an installed Ubuntu (11.04) and decided to update to 11.10.
So, downloaded the 11.10 install image and boot up the laptop from the CD image.
I got 4 options during installation:
- Delete all and install ubutnu 11.10
- Delete old ubuntu and install 11.10
- Dlete Windows and ubuntu and install ubuntu 11.10
- Other
Because i wanted a new install i choose to delete ubuntu and install 11.10.
After i pressed next it started immediately to install the new os. Without any warning messages.
I know there was a note under the options that " you can loose your datas", but i was expecting a warning pop-up also before it it start to erase anything from the hdd.
I feel this choiche is a quite sensitive part of the install process. If you have laptop touchpad can make bad joke with you If you accidentally touch it during typing or whatever you do.
So the question is what is your opinion about this
or is it working as designed? Where to address such a questions/
Thank you!
