First read and do what is explained on http://members.iinet.net.au/~herman546/p18.html#MbrFix.exe.After that you van delete Ubuntu partition with Ubuntu live CD using gparted program or with other partitioning tool.

Hi viktor. If you can recall, how did you install Ubuntu 9.10?

If you're inside Windows Vista (Business), can you see Ubuntu in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel?

Hi Jean,
Thanks for your respond.
Actually, my friend installed Ubuntu on my laptop from CD "Ubuntu Karmic Koala".
When I start laptop, Ubuntu is starting from GRUB as default OS,
otherwise I can choose manually from GRUB list and starting Vista. So I cannot see
Ubuntu in "Program Features" inside Windows, therefore, I cannot remove it by means of
ADD/REMOVE Programs.

Please, read again my previous post. That will explain everything to you and you will be able to uninstall Ubuntu.First thing is to remove grub and then with some partition tool ( can be Ubuntu livve Cd and run gparted program) delete ubuntu partition.Unallocated space add to existing Windows partition if you like.

Thanks for the information viktor. With Grub taking over the boot loading, it only means Ubuntu was installed side by side with Windows.

1. First and foremost before doing anything, backup your files in Ubuntu. You might have some important data stored in that partition. You might as well consider backing up your Windows data.
2. If you have the OEM CD, the Windows Vista installed that you have, prepare it. You can also download Hiren's BootCD or any similar disk tool from the web. HBCD can be downloaded here http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
3. Now, go to the Disk Management of Windows Vista, it can be found when you right-click the (My) Computer > Manage > Disk Management. Select the Ubuntu partition and delete it.
4. Reboot via the Vista or Hired BootCD and do the following as mentioned in Microsoft Support page to fix the Master Boot Record http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392

You can also find procedure here http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-safely-uninstall-ubuntu-in-windows-dual-boot-environment/ and here http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/installation/108827-remove-ubuntu-dual-boot-vista.html

I hope it helps.
