problems with 11.04 upgrade

Asked by mr lee

I recently upgraded my laptop to 11.04, there have been no problems, However, I burned another upgrade CD and mistakenly left "windows" checked instead of Ubuntu. I installed on my desktop and now have several issues, the biggest being I cannot get Banshee to play. My library is still intact, just can't get anything to play. I am very good about d/l updates as they come in...should I reinstall w/the ORIGINAL boot CD that I burned? Or do you suggest another method? Most of the stuff on my machine I could live without, were it erased, but not my music collection...and I do not have an external hard drive or other way to transfer it to the laptop. Thank you in advance, you guys are truly the best!

I would find a flash drive or CD's or DVD's anyway possible of backing up your valued files. Will lose them one
day if not carefull.

I suggest you BACKUP you data. Having 'important' data in one place is foolish at best.
