Run ubuntu from an external hard drive

Here it is. I wan to run 11.04 just from an external hard drive on a windows computer. I know there is info on this, I just remember where it is. Any help is goo help.

You can use wubi and put the wubi install on the USB device, or you can make a persistent USB boot device from windows and boot that way.

Be careful at installing Grub MBR on external drive, and not internal one.
