New computer will not load ubuntu 10.10

Hello, I just built my first computer and I went to load ubuntu and got an error message. I have tried 2 different copies with same results. Below are all components of my computer so. The load starts correctly you see the ubuntu logo and it is loading than it pulls up a black screen with test similar to old ms dos and says :
The error message reads no boot medium found

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
If you used a CD/DVD did you burn it slowly and did you check the CD for defects once booted to?
Did you test your RAM?

I loaded windows and everything loading correctly. It shows proper ram and no issues. The DVD was burned slow and I have used it on 3 other computers. I do not know what a md5 test is... Hope this helps.

The RAM tester will thoroughly test the RAM.

Could you check CD, it could have became corrupted since last install: http://zootlinux.blogspot.com/2010/05/check-disc-for-defects-in-ubuntu-1004.html
