Ubuntu 10.04 studio freezing

Asked by David Jones

my pc has started freezing occasionally. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 studio
 Kernel Linux 2.6.32-26
Gnone 2.30.2 Memory 874mib
Processor AMD Athelon(tm) Processor 2650e
owner@owner-desktop:~$ uptime
 22:29:23 up 17 days, 10:28, 2 users, load average: 0.56, 0.61, 0.88
This uptime shouldn't bother Linux distros

Please check your ram press shift at boot to see the menu item to do it...

Freezing is a very complex issue as it can comes from many sources (software and hardware).
Could you check behavior with previous kernel ?
Since which day freezing occurred (I could check packets delivered at this date) ?
And also clean inside of PC from dust.

Thank you very much. The problem seems to be corrected no clue what happened or what corrected it.
