I can't delete some files on root / boot
Hello to all,
I've got major problems with my Diskspace on boot. There is nothing free there, but the rest of the hdd is fine. So I decided to erase some old files, here is the list

so, you'll see some packages are really old, and 5 of them can be ereased, because they use 25 MB of disk storage, and on boot I've got only 250MB, and right now I can't install any new programs.
So, what must I do to get a)more disk space or b)to erease some programs, because I've got no right to do this, says the computer.
Please help me, and sorry for my language.
cheers Toni

You remove those by uninstalling old kernels. You don't delete the files as this will break your packages. What is the output of:
lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep linux-image
Thanks

You will notice the files are fewer in /boot
You can also see the used space with:
df -h
If you have a separate /boot partition

ok - got it. Thanks ; I was wondering, I came across this as I was debugging a system after a failed upgrade to 3.11.0-18 . The upgrade produces several compile and config failures & errors . Your suggestion in comment # 3 clears this up.
