Recently somebody else filed a bug report.

In fact, it is you have have created the bug report. :)
It is noted. If you believe it takes too long, I am all open for patches.

For suggestion two, there is already a shortcut: SHIFT+DELETE.

For suggestion three, there is already some form of markdown in Xpad, such as bold, italic, underline, strike-through. Is that what you mean?

If you still have the wish a functionality needs to be added or changed, it is helpful to me to create a bug report.
Although, I have little time at this moment of writing, usually when I have lots of time, I start analyzing and solving bug reports. Feel free to join developing, if you can and are willing to.

Right, 1) looks like it will be taken care of.
I don't think it's taking too long (I mean I just started using it so lol it's just a minor thing that I would like it but I'm totally fine).
For 2), thank you for letting me know the shortcut for note deletion. I should start using it! besides, I am wondering why deletion is not CTRL + W? The short-cut for new note is CTRL + N, closing the whole thing is (by the system) CTRL + Q, and I automatically pressed CTRL + W for deleting a current note. Or is there a place I could adjust these short-cuts? I actually found Xpad default setting file under ~/.config/xpad/default-style that I could modify. I love it!
For 3), after I found content files of xpad in the config folder, I was wondering whether I could write markdown style in the content file which then the results would be rendered and reflected on the GUI xpad. I found markdown very useful when formatting texts in times of giving titles, subtitles and things like that. While I am writing my thoughts on suggestion 3, however, I came to realize that this would be a whole different product, something that focuses more on markdown rather than being a handy side note thing. So I would say just forget about it :)

Also, I'm new to this platform. Do you know where I could find user manual kind of things where I could find short-cuts and other things?

Honestly, I have never thought about common shortcuts other than what I do automatically with other applications; I do not use CTRL-W. :) I have been testing several applications for their behavior with CTRL+W. It seems to be closing the current open document. So in Xpad terms, the pad could close by pressing CTRL+W (which is in fact hiding). This is different than deleting/destroying the pad.

What makes you believe CTRL + W would be a good choice to delete a pad? Or what would be the best short-cut for deleting a pad. Convince me. :)

No, not yet, but if you really like it, please create a bug report.

Xpad is simple and small and has no user manual. It has a built-in help (F1) or by the menu, which also describes all short-cuts.

lol hey thank you for trying out my suggestion. I thought CTRL + W is good for closing a current partial window or a tab just because I mostly use Chrome and Terminal apps, which works with CTRL + W. Also I used to be a huge MacOS user and most of the applications closed their tab with CTRL + W and if there was only one tab, it would close the whole window without quitting it. So I was relating my experience to that!

About the manual, I actually happened to pock around the dev. website and found README and it contained most of the things I was looking for.
