Xpad on Multiple Devices

Asked by TR

I really like Xpad on my desktop computer.

I use it for a a todo list and memo pad on a single Xpad page.

I sync all my current data to my laptop with DropBox. Is there a way to sync my xpad data?

I have trouble due to file name and file location. Can I redirect xpad to use a particular folder containing a file with a particular name ?

I guess you could call the answers I got a null set. That's OK.

XPad is great but I wish data storage wasn't so convoluted. I'll probably just write my own replacement but I would prefer to just use XPad.

If you are into writing a replacement, maybe you would like to improve Xpad?

I recall you are not the first one interested in a synchronization option.

Would you be interested?

Hi TR,

Xpad stores all its information in a configuration folder in your home folder: .config/xpad

As a workaround you might want to create a symbolic link for /home/yourusername/.config/xpad to a synchronized folder.

Does that work for you?

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask TR for more information if necessary.
