Looping a layout

Hi!

I'm having problems with looping. I've created a couple of layouts with more than one content in a region. One simple layout contains three full screen jpg, each with 10s duration. I would like this to loop but at the end I always get the default layout for about two minutes. After that will the scheduled layout make another run before the default comes back for two minutes, and so will it go on.

Hi Mike

That's the expected behaviour. A layout will run for the total time it takes to go through all the items in all the regions at least once.

So, if you had two regions, the first with two images at 10 seconds and the second with three images at 10 seconds, the layout will run for 30 seconds before advancing to the next layout - assuming there is another layout to advance to.

In your case, the default layout is playing because either:
1) You have Interleave Default set in the Display Management for that display
2) You've scheduled the default layout to run at the same time in the schedule.

If you want your image layout to loop round, you need to put something on that layout that takes longer to expire (eg a blank text item or simply add more images) or remove all the other layouts scheduled at the same time and turn off interleaving.

For a new display, I just assign a default layout and tick "interleave", hope this layout will be displayed "forever", but after it get displayed in the client side for the 1st time successfullyt, the client always showing the splash screen. Here are the trace for the client side, both side are latest 1.2.2. what could be wrong?
