Suggestion YouTube Video Content

Asked by Steve

I know its possible to include web pages as Content...
But could it be possible to set up an "OBJECT" that will stream videos from youtube - without the full Youtube page?
ie to just point to the YouTube video ident and the <OBJECT EMBED> tags are used?

Or to copy the <OBJECT> tags from YouTube into an editor and only the video is displayed?

Cheers

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie"
value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yu_moia-oVI"></param><embed
src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yu_moia-oVI"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425"
height="350"></embed></object>

You can get the embed src by viewing the html source of the youtube page and getting the url from embedUrl variable

We could look at doing that. The version of Xibo previous to the publically released one used to support playing FLV files. It may be that we would look at doing that instead - as the requirement for streaming that video every time it is shown is then removed.

Would that solve your problem?
