Unique key

Asked by Mik

How is generated "unique key" ?

I have read in the manual:
"The unique key for this client" is a unique identifier for this client machine. It's generated from a mix of Windows system identifiers and your hardware. If you're installing for the first time, there's no need to amend this value. If you're changing hardware or want to have two clients using the same server account then you can edit the key as required.

I ask because my friend has installed Xibo client in two different machines (LG player with same hardware and same OS - windows embedded onboard) and He says that "unique key" generated are the same for both machine. It this possible ?

He has manually changed them.

Thank you

It happened to me as well, where two of my clients had the same Unique ID, and whenever I tried to register the display, the IP's would change from the management. I ended up giving them different Unique ID's, and now they work perfectly.

Can you help with this problem?
