Client can choose which program to play AVI files? Windows Media Player? real one player? other?

At the moment the client will only play video with WMP.

well, I have a region to play one avi file, I have wmp installed in my PC and it can play the avi, but the clien end don't play the avid at all, the region just empty.

There are several known issues with 1.2.0.

I'd suggest upgrading to 1.2.2 after reading the release notes in
their entirety.
