How to change the colors of the circles in the managmeent area ?

Asked by Mike Dibble

I as well as Im sure many other people am Red/ Green color blind.

I find it EXTREMELY hard to use to managment tools when the little red dot should turn from red to green to let you know what is or isn't selected. If you think this is bad.. You should try playing video games like this.... (joke)

anyways. I would greately appreciate the help from anyone who knows the in's and out's of XIBO to should me how to change the colors from RED/GREEN to maybe RED/BLUE or other ??

You just need to substitute the two images at:

img/act.gif = green
img/disact.gif = red

Is there limitations to the image that can be used ? Such as the case. I could use a something like a yellow star / Blue circle or something.

And listen I know this really sounds gay to be asking for help with something this miniscule but it kills me every where I go. You don't know just how much you helped MANY people.

Any 10x10 pixel gif file should be fine. Perhaps a tick and a cross or
something.

I know very little about colour blindness not suffering from it myself.

What would be two symbols that would be acceptable to you and to people
who aren't r/g colour blind?

Oh, I get what you mean.

You must name the files exactly as they are now, but you can change them
to be whatever symbol you like.

Beautiful..

I use a yellow 15 X 15 star.

Makes a drastic difference so you can really tell what you did.

A star doesn't really shout on/ off or enabled/ disabled to me.

Sorry Alex.. No a star doesnt.

Because this machine Im on doesnt have and image editor, I needed something that would just show the diffrence. Because I couldnt tell when the Green would change to red or vice versa, I just needed something i could throw up that dictate that " I myself " could see that change. This is what the star did for me as it was the quickest object i could find that wasnt red or green that was about the same size.

What i plan to do later today is to use and " X " and a " check mark " and replace both images so not only is there a color variation but and image variation as well.

If you honestly want info or feedback for future users, I would personally think these would both be acceptable. Even keeping the RED / Green schema would be acceptable being that the image changes, the color won't matter at this point.
