Use categories in wxBanker

I use categories to keep track of things like medical expenses, donations to charities, utility bill payments.

How can I enter this data in wxBanker.

I would also like to be able to sort by categories to help with tax preparation.

Hey there cemclellan, thanks for using wxBanker! The best way to do this is via twitter-style tags, which you can just enter such as #deductible, #utility in your description, and you can also add/remove/search via tags by right clicking on a transaction or just typing the tag with the hash in the search. This should make it easy to find all #medical or #deductible transactions. Does that seem like it would work for you?

I too would like to see categories introduced.

I don't fully understand the suggestion about adding (hash)tags - one can search on any word in description whether or not it's a tag. So long as one can remember to insert the same word in description, to facilitate future searches - and remember what it was to conduct the search - tags don't seem to add any functionality/convenience?

But they would if there was a pick-list once they're created.
