Remove or stop recurring transactions from account

Asked by Rex Chan

I'm using 0.7.0 in 10.04 Ubuntu.
I've set up a recurring transaction in the wrong account and i want to remove it. There's no obvious way in configure account gui.

Indeed, sorry about this, I've linked the relevant bug report (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530260). The workaround is to configure the account (click the gear button when the account is selected) and modify the recurring transaction to have an end date before the current date so that no further transactions will occur.

In the next version, recurring transactions will be removable!

I updated the linked bug, FYI: "I just committed r797 which adds a 'Delete' button, removing the recurring transaction and removing the link from any already made transactions. It won't however delete those existing transactions."

So this will be released in the coming weeks in 0.8, where you can finally delete your recurring transaction :)

Glad to hear this should solve your issue, Rex. However did you mean to re-open the question from an "Answered" status to "Open"? Is there something else I can address in this question?

Sorry, that was unintentional. I assume it changed because I replied, you can set it to Answered and I won't reply to it.
