Can't uninstall Ubuntu/Wubi

Asked by Stacy P

Hello,
I just installed Ubuntu on my Windows laptop using the Wubi installer. The installation seemed to go well, and I can move between the Windows and Ubuntu by restarting the laptop, hitting F2, and choosing the OS. However, the installation caused a complete loss of wireless recognition in both operating system, which nothing will help (I tried all the usual tricks, including restoring to a previous restore point.) So, I would like to uninstall Ubuntu. However, it is not available on my list of Windows programs to uninstall, and the uninstall-ubuntu.exe program was not part of the Wubi installation package. I don't see a way any way to get remove this program, and I can't use the laptop for much without wireless.
Note: I saw advice elsewhere on using the command "sudo apt-get install ntp" to help with the wireless in Ubuntu, but it didn't work.
So, how can I get rid of Ubuntu? Any advice will be appreciated.

Run the wubi.exe file again , the wubi.exe will recognize that you have a Installation and will offers you to uninstall Ubuntu if you want.
Do not forget to running as administrator (right click and Open As Administrator)

Thanks

Or just remove the

C:\ubuntu and C:\wubildr*

directories.
