Installed Ubuntu on a flash drive and got the "missing wubildr.mbr file" message.

Hi,
I just found out about this OS yesterday and decided to try it out. I downloaded it on a 8gb flash drive and used the universal USB installer found in pendrivelinux.com. When I restart my laptop it always shows the "wubildr.mbr is missing or corrupted" message and when trying to use LiLi (dunno if I should have used it instead of Universal USB Installer), it never gets a green light when selecting the flash drive.
How can I fix this so I can boot Ubuntu? Do I need to buy a 16gb memory stick or something? My laptop runs on Windows 7 64-bit.
