Wubi

Failed to install ubuntu

I tried to install ubuntu 12.04 from wubi, but everytime it fails to install giving an error report as- "the disk image file not found....check C:\users\acer\appdata\local\temp\wubi-12.04-reg269.log"

I checked the above mentioned path directory but it shows same as-"disk image file is not found.

I am already using windows7 on my laptop and wants to install ubuntu 12.04 as well.
So, please help me out.

Download and MD5 test the Ubuntu ISO you desire.
Install magicdisk or daemontools and mount the ISO
Right click the wubi installer and select 'run as administrator'

Personally I suggest you abandon Wubi, use Win7 to resize the NTFS and make free space. You can then make an install CD or USB and boot that, then install Ubuntu to it's own partition. It's much easier to repair a non-wubi Ubuntu.
