Dual boot problem
Running Vista and Ubuntu :both OS worked well. Yesterday upgraded Ubuntu with the Update Manager and now cannot launch Ubuntu at all.The choice of Vista or Ubuntu is there but when choosing Ubuntu the system reverts to back to the dual boot choice after going throught Bios start.Any suggestions ? Thanks.(Question 137557)
This is the same problem that I have, but what I did was to remove Ubuntu from within windows (this is on a acer laptop) then I try to reinstall it from the 10 4 disc at the set up stage where it ask for username and password it puts in a username but when I try to put in a password it says that the password does not match, now the problem is there is no password on the computer that I know of for windows, and the only one that was on ubuntu before this happened was the username that I had to use at the start up which I have tried but does not help, how came I get around this problem or find the password that it seem to have, so I can enter the same to get ubuntu to reinstall.
Regards Hugh
