Systray kaput?

There are a bunch of systay icons (Vuze, Artha etc.) that no longer work with the top panel in Ubuntu 13.10+. Will they still work with wingpanel in Elementary Isis?

No sorry, the old systray is completely deprecated. Those apps will need to be updated to work with the new libindicator used by elementary and Ubuntu.

What about applications that will almost certainly never do so, such as WINE?

We need an indicator that wraps old-fashioned systray icons.
