suspend doesn't work properly when using wallch

Hello zacktu.

While Wallch is running a simple Timer runs till the next timeout that changes your wallpaper. Why do you believe that Wallch is responsible for this? Almost every program has timers running for their purposes and the chance that a simple Timer is your problem is very slim, in my opinion.

I cannot reproduce what you're saying in Ubuntu 13.10. I just opened Wallch, started the process, suspended and returned from suspend without any problem.

As for how you can trace down your problem, see your system logs for errors, I strongly believe that it has to do with your hardware.

On the other hand, if this happens only if Wallch is open and running (please repeat the process 1-2 times to verify it), then we have to investigate it.

At the time of my submission to Launchpad I had several times with
wallch as a start program and not. Firefox would freeze when wallch was
running and wouldn't otherwise. I was fairly certain that the removal
of wallch had stopped Firefox from freezing.

After my launchpad submission I didn't use wallch for more than a week.
During that time I restarted my system several times. Yesterday I
checked the box to make wallch a startup program again. Everything
appears to work now.

Be sure that Wallch was NOT responsible for all your problems, as no one ever reported similar issues with the program.

Please search further on what caused your system to misbehave.
