Live website requires authentication (Google Calendar)

Asked by windowlicker

I would like to use my Google Calendar as my Live Website background as I try to organise my life with it but regularly fail to check it. However the calendar requires authentication. Is there any way to provide authentication details that will allow me to view the calendar in wallch?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hello windowlicker (nice name, by the way :D), and thanks for your question!

Right now Wallch is unable to log you in to any site, because it depends on the gnome-web-photo package for generating web images.

I am personally working right now on a library (libwebsitesnapshot) that will allow me to do the same thing as gnome-web-photo, but from pure Qt/C++ code, for more flexibility and reliability.

I am not an expert at networking but I will try my best to implement this feature into my library.
