Password prompt for encrypted partition during init
I have an encrypted partition and in Dapper the init process stopped whenever /etc/init.
Now (in Edgy), that upstart handles this, it doesn't switch to vt1, and if I boot without "splash" and "quiet", I see why: The <Enter passphrase:> prompt appears, but it doesn't wait for input, but reads:
Enter passphrase: Command failed: Key reading error.
Following bug #67799, I added "console owner" to /etc/event.
Did I use the wrong option for enabling this prompt (and which would be the correct one?), or is this a bug, which I should file?
And further, for other users with encrypted partitions: Is everybody supposed to edit /etc/event.
Thanks,
Frank
