how does unity work

where is my administration tab
where is my system tab
where is my bottom taskbar

when i right click on the top task-bar i don't get a popup menu anymore

how do i make that ugly thing on the left go away and never come back

If I understood correctly, you want to use the GNOME “Classic Mode”, called “Fallback” in GNOME 3.2.

Install gnome-shell and gnome-session-fallback packages, and logout. From the login screen, click in the cog next to your username and select “GNOME Classic”.
