Hello Nawfel,

Unity 2D will not be the fallback in Natty. The very first reason for that is the lack of space on the Ubuntu CD. The plan is to try to make that happen for the next release of Ubuntu: Natty+1

As a tester/user, my suggestion is to put Unity 2D on the CD live in place of Unity 3D, and have Unity 3D available as a download after install, or even during install if the internet is available and the installer wants it.

I could imagine a time when Unity 2D is on the CD live with no classic option available on the CD live....

Now I'm faster at function on Classic, but given the choice of which to run on my older pc's I always choose Unity 2D since the latest Unity 2D I have is running very usably.

On my latest pc's that will run Unity 3D I do just because I'm looking for bugs as a tester. When (if) Natty is stable I'll try Unity 3D vs. Unity 2D. Right now, try "scroll" on the Applications icon menu on 3D (slug!) vs. 2D (slow but better). In ancient days pc's had "page up" and "page down" that worked very well.....

My preference, I like things nice and quick and crisp vs. muddy crawling around and hard to see windows overlaid on 3D.
