Xubuntu

Asked by morph

I want to create a bootable live USB flashdrive for Xubuntu. Is this possible with UNetbootin? I don't see Xubuntu listed on the UNetbootin list of supported Ubuntu distributions. Please note that I'm a complete newbie to both UNetbootin and Ubuntu/Linux.
Thank you

Yes, it should work with Xubuntu and all other Ubuntu derivatives (Kubuntu, etc)

I successfully created a bootable Kubuntu Netbook Alpha ISO on a USB hard drive with unetbootin-windows-357.exe.

But when I tried to "upgrade" this installation with kubuntu-9.10-rc-netbook-i386.iso and unetbootin-windows-372.exe, the boot screen does not show the menu, but just syslinux boot:
When pressing return a bright screen appears and nothing else happens.

Can someone confirm if kubuntu-9.10-rc-netbook-i386.iso is installable with unetbootin 372?
