Packages reinstalled when using customized iso

Asked by A S Prakash

Hi,
I am using uck-2.0.3. I already customized a ubuntu 7.10 iso by using this uck. In that, I removed open office, gimp and games.
Again i tried to run uck using the above customized iso image, once it entered into build, its trying to download last time removed packages like open source, gimp....for installing. Its a bug or i want to edit some scripts?. Is it possible to customize a iso by using a already customized iso image?.

i think you removed openoffice and other packages and after that you installed the language support packages, that's why you get openoffice reinstalled, because default ubuntu's languages packs depends on openoffice and generally on ubuntu-desktop metapackage

to solve you should not use uck-gui but run the uck-remaster-* scripts manually
