adept is not recognized

What is the name of ISO file you are customizing?

ubuntu-6.10-desktop-i386.iso
now i'm downloading gnome and i'll try to execute from there. isn't an
uck designed specificly for kubuntu???

It doesn't matter if you are running from Kubuntu or Ubuntu, it matters _what_ image you are customizing. You are customizing Ubuntu image, so please choose "Gnome" environment in proper dialog.

i customized a kubuntu image so i put kde in the dialogs but the problem
is still the same

I have the same problem with Kubuntu 6.10 Live CD. Is there a solution meanwhile? Or a workaround?

I tried it as normal user and with sudo ... both had the same result

Please get the latest development version using:
svn export https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/uck/trunk/uck
and see if it still happens.

It finally worked even if the image was to big for a CD ;-)
