cannot access grub when turning on laptop

Recently installed Ubuntu Studio 10.04 LTS and successfully setup grub 2.0
This worked for two days now I get an error message on start up "no module name found"
How do I restore grub and access the Vista system that is part of the dual boot?

This issue was resolved when a diagnostics test revealed that the master boot log had been corrupted. From the this log, the dual boot could be rebuild and grub acts in its previous state.
