Why does https://one.ubuntu.com/contacts/ always return a 404 page-not-found error? Is this an unfinished part of the project?

Asked by Peter DiCrescenzo

I've got the Ubuntu One client installed on Karmic 9.10, 32-bit, Ubuntu Netbook Remix edition; the platform's a Dell Mini 10. The client successfully authenticates, and I can bring up the web console, but the contacts part of this page has never returned anything but a 404. I have no way to confirm that my Evolution contacts are syncing.

What's going on? Did I misconfigure something at my end?

Hi Peter, I'm sorry for the inconvenience the contacts section on our web site has caused. We intend on having this working yet this week. This will not sync your contacts from your desktop yet automatically. We hope to have that working by the end of this week. Thank you, Joshua

Thanks Josh - and kudos for what looks like a solution I've been looking for, for a long time.

Sorry about that silly 404. We found the problem last night and will be deploying a fix in just a few minutes.
