is there a design document?

Hi,

Is there a design document for the client? Specifically if I wanted to understand how the sync works, is there a doc that provides an overview of the design/approach? Or would I need to jump into Python code and look?

I think you would need to jump into the python code and look. http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntuone-control-tower/ubuntuone-client/trunk/annotate/head:/ubuntuone/syncdaemon/filesystem_manager.py is heavily commented, and you are welcome to ask questions in #ubuntuone on Freenode IRC. The developers that are most familiar with the sycndaemon live in Argentina, in case that helps with figuring out what times they are likely to be awake and around to answer questions.
