can't configure my second (old) computer

Asked by Zied ALAYA

I tried Ubuntuone in 10.10 and 11.04 but due to a some bugs I inactivated it and deleted manually all files from my computer and on the cloud.
I have a new PC and Ubuntuone works very well on it.

Now when I come back to my old computer I have upgraded to 11.10 but I can't configure the Ubuntuone client. I have a message like "impossible to connect to your account" and the message disappear quickly. I try to click to other buttons (like new account) but nothing happen !!

Any idea to test please ?

Hello,
Your old pc may contain the old authorization token that is not compatible with the newer scheme used in new Ubuntu One software.
Since you have deleted your files from Ubuntu One you may want to remove the old metadata too to prevent the files from being removed from the cloud once synchronization software connects.

To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Stop Ubuntu One from terminal:
u1sdtool --quit

It should say "ubuntuone-syncdaemon stopped."

2. Remove the ~/.local/share/ubuntuone/syncdaemon directory which holds the metadata information.
3. Open Password Manager application (Alt+F2 - seahorse)
4. Remove the entry that is called "UbuntuOne token for https://ubuntuone.com/

5. Start ubuntuone again by running ubuntuone-control-panel-gtk or clicking the icon in the launcher.

You should be prompted for your credentials and the sync should start working.
