ubuntuone do not launch automatically at startup

Asked by Eric Belhaire

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and since my last ubuntuone update through PPA (I now have the version 1.1.3 and the applet is here anymore) UbuntuOne does not launch automatically at startup. I have to launch it in Système>Préférences>"Ubuntu One">Device>Connect.
Is this a volontary behaviour or is it a bug ?

Eric,
The Ubuntu One applet has been replaced by the Ubuntu One preferences. You can access that through System > Preferences > Ubuntu One. In Lucid you can access it through the 'Me menu' as well. You are correct that the PPA version does not automatically start on boot. This has been fixed in the Lucid version. i am not sure when or if this will make it to the PPA version. I will leave this open in case one of the devs can be more specific.
thank you,

Hi Eric,

We're working on getting a new PPA release out that should fix this problem. As Duane pointed out, Lucid just got this fixed (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/534707) and we intend on releasing the same fix to the PPA very soon.

Thank you,

Joshua
