OpenZFS 2.0 is released

Are there plans to include this new version in 20.10 and backported to 20.04?
Should I wait for it or compile myself?

If you report a bug and the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages can be left unupdated in favour of stability. This is especially true in the LTS versions.

Remember to filter the PPA for Focal so you know the PPA's branch for your release has the openzfs package

Features are also important and the new 2.0 have a few important improvements. 20.10 is not an LTS build, can we expect it to be updated to OpenZFS 2.0 in the nearest months?

Additionally you have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and as far as I can see also Debian does not have version 2.0 yet.
First steps to get zfs-linux version 2.0 into Ubuntu are creating a bug report in the Debian bug tracker, and creating a bug report in Ubuntu's bug tracking system.
