How to download streaming videos?
Which is the best software. I want to download videos from youtube. How can i do it?

You can use the program youtube-dl in a terminal or there are extensions and addons for browsers

When i tried with terminal it displays;
The program 'youtube-dl' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing sudo apt-get install youtube-dl
When i tried the same it displays the message.
 E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
How can i fix it?

Do you have software centre or synaptic open? If so, close it. If you have updates running then let them finish. If there are no packages being manipulated, you can run:

sudo fuser -vki /var/lib/dpkg/lock;sudo dpkg --configure -a

And it will free the packages
