Replacing Ubuntu with Windows XP

Asked by lane

I have a Dell Vostro a90 that I purchased with Ubuntu pre-installed on it. I'm not very technologically savvy and I've decided that I'd like to remove Ubuntu and replace it with Windows XP.

I tried to boot from a CD using an external hard drive and while it gave me the option to do so it never would. I also tried to install Wine, but when I would go into ubuntu's add/remove programs, it would pull up Wine, but not let me install.

What can I do? I don't want to dual boot, I'd just like to eliminate Ubuntu completely and install the XP.

Thanks

XP installation issues are not supported here. Please ask on a Windows forum or contact Dell directly.
You will need a valid license and install media.
