Kingston Secure Data Traveler II Privacy Zone

Asked by qazxc

I have a Kingston "Secure DataTraveler II" USB drive with a Privacy Zone (password enabled closed zone/partition) that is usable in windows (for secure storing of documents etc). SECURE TRAVELER.exe resides on the native side of the drive. You click on SECURE TRAVELER.exe & it launches a dialogue box (SECURE TRAVELER LOGIN) prompting you for a password. After correct password input, the "explorer" window closes, relaunches & presents you with the closed sector. There is a shortcut residing there (Logout Privacy Zone), to exit the privacy zone (& the explorer window closes/relaunches). This shortcut points to "C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Kingston" where SECURE TRAVELER.exe, ini, shortcut & Users Manual reside. I have plugged this USB into my Ubuntu box & clicking on the EXE generates the predictable ERROR message. Is there a way to use this "PRIVACY ZONE" in the Linux world?
