Compiz is als het goed is uit te schakelen via het menu "systeem" en dan "Windows" te selecteren. Als het goed is heb je dan ed optie om Window effecten uit te schakelen.

Een andere optie is Synaptic te starten en Compiz te deinstalleren.

Ik heb het nog eens nagekeken. Als je Compiz alleen wilt uitzetten, ga dan naar System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual Effects selecteer daar "none".

Als je Ubuntu in het Nederlands draait moet dit zijn: Systeem -> Voorkeuren -> Uiterlijk -> Visuele effecten selcteer dan "geen".

Of gebruik Synaptic en schakel dan compiz-pakketten uit =)
