Recto / verso deskjet HP 5151

Asked by achevrier

Hi Unbuntu community,
I would like to find a way to choose recto/verso option printing services using a deskjet HP 5151.
I've not found it yet.
Thus, I have to switch back to xp in order to print on recto/verso mode.
If you have any idea ....
Thanck's a lot

Maybe you could explain what recto/verso mode does?

I know recto/verso are synonimous with leftpage/rightpage, but what does that mode do?

Prints firstly recto pages. Then stops, asks you to reload printer and indicates you to turn or not turn pages, and then prints verso pages.

Hi, try going to System --> Administration --> Printing. Right click on your printer and hit "Properties." Select the "Paper" tab from the window that pops up and change "Double Sided" to on. I believe that should enable recto/verso by default.

If you want it enabled on occasion, try to print from the program you want it to print from. Hit "Properties" on the printer and look for either "Duplex" or "Double Sided" and select the correct options. It differs from program to program depending on the printing interface.

I hope that helps!

Printing properties gives me 3 choices for recto/verso :

1 long edge (standard)
2 short edge (fip)
3 off

I will try shortly n°2 (n° 1 does not work)
