May I suggest the following alternatives, using free software:
- OpenOffice.org, and check this how-to for WP compatibility:
http://oooauthors.org/en/FAQs/faqcompatibility/faqgeneralcompatibilityoffice/20040921a
- Mozilla Thunderbird, with a good extension for managing signatures - you'll need to know some HTML to get creative.

Otherwise, wait for bug#1 to be solved.

the main problem here is, that your software is proprietary software (bug#1, yes ;))

so if you want to use your programs (i think they are windows programs) you have to use wine (a windows emulator, you can download it by using synaptic or apt-get).

if you have specific questions for installing a program with wine you can post it here, in the forum (ubuntuforums.org) or read through the wine manual (http://www.winehq.com/site/docs/wineusr-guide/index)

but i also agree with fabian rodriguez, if you are able to use openoffice and stuff like this (free software) it'll be the better choice (believe me, OpenOffice 2.0 is incredible!). If you need professional support you can use StarOffice

hope this helps
