support for savage driver in Itrepid Ibex

It appears that this driver is not a part of any Intrepid Ibex LiveCD to date. I have tried Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu in Alpha5, Alpha6, Beta, and Daily 20081020 and NONE of these boot successfully to a LiveCD GUI. Since the boot process halts before successful completion, there are no logs to look at. Please see my bug 275045. I have confirmed that the Kubuntu Hardy LiveCD does still boot to a LiveCD GUI on my machine, so I have no hardware problems.

I have the Savage/IX-MV video chip in my IBM T20 laptop.

I am marking this problem as resolved. The Kubuntu 8.10 Release Candidate LiveCD booted completely on my system to a usable resolution (800x600) on my laptop. While not the best display for the savage chip I will assume that 1024x768 will available in the final release, perhaps with an appropriate entry in xorg.conf.
