nvidia fx 5600

please help to ubuntu new user
i have installed ubuntu 9.10 on my pc. I have two video cards and one monitor. The onboard card is intel and even though i had some resolution problems with that card at first its seem to work now. However my agp card (nvidia fx 5600) with 2 monitor exits and 1tv exit is giving me a hard time,and i cant find an answer. After i install the nvidia driver (version 173) and reboot the pc and change the bios configuration from onboard to agp the grub is loading ,but after that the ubuntu hangs and wont continue to load.Its sucks because my tv is on that card ,so if anyone can guide me through this that would be great.Thank you

boot to recovery root console and run:

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

You may need to form a full xorg.conf
