Resolution

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04, my graphics card are Nvidia GT240 and my monitor are BenQ 17 inch.

The problem is I can't get 1280x1024 resolution, it's not available on x Server or in display. And this resolution was available for me in Ubuntu 9.04

For more information in X server they say tat my vga card are 230M not GT240

How can i get this resolution?

Hey try

sudo nvidia-xconfig

Then

gksudo nvidia-settings
