PC HANG

when i use Ubuntu 10.04 it works properly for sometime then suddenly it hangs(10 mins)...this problem has started coming often...i have to continuously restart my PC for that matter...i have become frustrated with this problem.i dont know why this problem is coming.My windows XP works fine.please let me asap.thanks

computer config:
Pentium Processor 4 630
LGA775,3Ghz
L-2 cache,800 Mhz...

i have a 1.5 Gb RAM,have 120GB hardisk(10GB for ubuntu(partitioned ))...

dont have a graphic card installed....or maybe dnt have idea if its installed...as dnt have any data about it....thnx

Please run this command in terminal and paste the output here:
sudo lshw -C display
And did you md5 test the ISO before you install Ubuntu?

next time the pc hangs press ALT CTRL F1. you should see something like "ubuntu 10.04 lts..."

okkk....i did not modify the ISO before installing.i used Daemon tools to install the system...

What do you mean by "Modify" and "used Daemon" tools to install the system? Are you trying to mount the ISO from another machine? The bug is confirmed by developers, hopefully there will be workaround soon, otherwise please try older Ubuntu versions and see if works. Thanks!
