installed Ubuntu 11.10, Touch Pad now doesn't work

Installed Ubuntu 11.10 when the upgrade was offered. No issues with download or install but now my touch pad doesn't work. Have plugged in a wireless mouse and that is working. Touch Pad was working under 11.04 version.

I suggest this go to F3 in this manner Fn then F3 and you should
be able to turn on mouse pad. It was added with 11:10

Don't know what happened, but next time I turned it on the touch pad was working and has continued to do so
