Asked by Jens Jorgensen

On my net book every once in a while the mouse pointer will freeze. I can still click but the cursor will not move. The keyboard still works also. Thanks in advance

Seems to be driven by the psmouse driver module. Run:
gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.conf

add the line:
options psmouse proto=imps

Save the new file, close gedit and reboot to test
