disable screen blanking

Default X has a screen blanking after 4 minutes. With xset s 0 I can prevent X to blank the screen. But I have to specify this everytime after I have started the system. Since some time there is no xorg.conf file anymore in which I could set this.
How can I prevent screen balnking without a xorg.conf file?
