colors not right on some graphics

Asked by Patrick M

After upgrading my hp dv5 laptop to 11.04, the colors on some photos and graphics are messed up. they look kind of like a color negative, or maybe a colorozed effect. doesn't happen to all jpegs, about half it seems.

It seems to be kind of random, but thumbnails are usually ok, when I maximize then or open an image file it usually goes haywire

never had this issue before upgrading to 11.04

Maybe this is an issue with Unity? after reverting to gnome desktop and rebooting a few times there seems to be no issue with pictures and icons being wrong colors

No Idea what I did, but after opening the ATI controls and just looking at them, the issues is resolved
